Hi! Welcome to my website.

My name is Dawson and I'm a Virginia-based filmmaker specializing in editing and sound design. I originate from Western North Carolina where I graduated from Western Carolina University with a BFA in Film and Television Production in the Spring of 2022.

I've been telling stories through video for nearly a decade. I'm passionate about giving people a voice through this medium and feel obligated to teach others to be kind through the tactic of connection, empathy, and sustainability.

I currently work at Virginia Tech in the College of Engineering as a Visual Content Creator, where I enjoy highlighting impactful researchers changing the world with their work and getting to know them in the process.
